Join us for the kickoff for the new Sunday School year on Sunday, September 9! We will be gathering after worship to get an overview about our upcoming Sunday School Curriculum.
Following the Sunday School introduction, members will be participating in service projects for the 2018 God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday. We will be collecting items for the Culpeper Food Closet and delivering gift baskets to our shut-in members. Please join us for this special day of Christian Education and service!

Thanks be to God for our church at work!
Three St. Luke’s Youth and one adult advisor attended 7th Day on March 3-4 in Lynchburg, VA. This excellent event for 5th and 6th graders is led by the Virginia Synod of the ELCA, and the youth had a blast! They are already planning to go again!
The theme for this year was: “Be Humble…Be Exalted…Be in God’s ‘Hood.” Check out the great images below.
This picture was made from answers to the question, “What one word best describes your congregation?” asked by the ELCA. The most frequent responses are represented by the largest words.

6 St. Luke’s Youth and 1 adviser enjoyed a great weekend at Winter Celebration, a Virgina Synod ELCA youth event. Over 375 youth and leaders from all over the state participated at Eagle Eyrie Camp in Lynchburg, VA. The weekend was reinvigorating, full of faith, and surpassed expectations!
The theme was “Called to Peace” based on Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
