Spiritual Care Support Ministries Invites the Community to Celebrate Christmas with SCSM and a Tree-Lighting Ceremony
Warrenton, Va. – November 21 — Spiritual Care Support Ministries (SCSM) invites the community to join in a joyful Christmas celebration on Sunday, December 2 from 3 to 5 pm to honor personal heroes and the memory of loved ones. There will be inspiration, light refreshments, a time of remembering loved ones, special music by Lisa Coles and Rev. Robert Reynolds, and the reading of the Christmas Story by Chaplain Liz Danielsen. Rev. John Kuvakas from Warrenton Bible Fellowship, Rev. Jeff Light from Novum Baptist Church, and Pastor Bob Grant of the Fathers Way Church in Manassas will be participating in the service. Santa will be visiting and you may take pictures of your child with him. The event will be held at the Warrenton Community Center, 430 East Shirley Avenue, Warrenton, Virginia.
In addition to festivities offered for guests, the event will provide members of the community an opportunity to support the work of SCSM which provides support and education from a faith-based perspective to people experiencing loss, including those who are ill, dying, bereaved, and those who journey with them. SCSM offers free individual counseling as well as support groups such as GriefShare, Bereaved Spouses, Bereaved Parents, Chronically Ill, DivorceCare, and DivorceCare4Kids, and Family Grief Camp. All services are free.
SCSM also invites guests to dedicate a light or to sponsor the Christmas tree or star in memory of or honor of someone special. The Christmas tree at the SCSM Center will include white lights in memory of loved ones, blue lights to honor those in the military, green lights in memory of children, and red lights in honor of special people.
